Tomorrow is the first day of school reopen, everything will be a new start for me as a Year 3 student. However, I will never forget this OIP trip as it contain many of my good memories in WuHan. There are many people whom I will miss for sure as we have stayed in the same hostel for one and a half months.

For the first person, I shall thank my lecturer, Mr Wong ChunChong, who have been so tired in teaching us BPE and Flexsim. Got to apologise to him about the lagging behind during outings due to photo taking. Anyway, I find Mr Wong very cute and funny. If he know how to take neoprint, I don't think he'll lack of poses. Hahaha. :D

I will remember the 'Three Musketeers' for sure. I do think that they are three guys who stay united throughout the whole trip. I remembered Clive once told me, 'We live in one room. Do together and stay together.' From their actions, I think they are really united as a room. I will never forget the best slash-pricer, Clive! He knows what are worth to buy and how much should be spent on the particular item. Next is Randolph, a talented photographer. He really put in effort to take beautiful pictures and you can't beat his passion in photographing. Lastly is Benedict, he is really a nice guy who do not have bad temper. I do find him as a easy going person.

I got to say thank you and sorry to my room-mates. They got to bear with my untidiness and my emotional behaviour (due to some personal affairs) which is cured now. :)

Howe is my efficient team leader for OIP project and she is a capable leader. She knows what she is doing and plans well to get good quality work done. This means our project work will have a certain standard. LOL :P

Every stay at hotel, I'll be assigned to have the same room as MengZhen. Nice to have her as my room-mate since we both love to chat. Hahaha. Whenever we have the time, we'll talk about personal stuffs and shared opinions. She is a kind hearted and fillial girl for sure.

Seok and XiangYu are like 'brother and sister'. Both talk at the same tone, in the same way and gets high suddenly. LOL :P

Winson and HuiMiang are my room 'regular customers'. Hahaha. XD HuiMiang is sporty but Winson is not. However, I do think both of them have the same good point which is they are super funny. Best couple award to them! =P

Masita and Hajar are going to be my classmates in Year 3. I'm very surprised when I hear it from them and so excited to see them tomorrow! Hahaha. :) They are friendly, chattable and easy going!

I will definitely miss the time studying, shopping, talking, playing and eating with them. One and a half month is really VERY LONG when I just reached WuHan. A few weeks later, which many of us start to get used to the lifestyle in WuHan, we find that it's TOO SHORT! Throughout the whole journey, I've definitely learnt more about China's history and culture. I know there are much more that I have not find out, maybe the next batch will be able to I guess? So my friends who are joining the OIP as the next batch, do treasure every time when you are in WuHan. Anything you are unsure of feel free to ask me on MSN or leave me a tag, I'll be glad to share my information to you. :D

Day 41 (Part 2)

Due to a delay in flight, we have to wait at the passenger awaiting area.

Got nothing to do so I just eat my snacks and take pictures! :P

This is a mister that sat beside me and he is a businessman who is going to GuangZhou to do business. He is a engineer and is going to bid for a land or what. Don't really understand business stuffs. Chatted throughout the whole journey with him and learnt something indeed. LOL :P

This is a transit for heavy luggages and since all of us have luggages that weigh more than 20kg, we got to queue for this service. HAHAHA

Rushing to Duty Free Shop (DFS).

Bought 3 cans of Classic tiger beers and a bottle of Vodka at DFS. All the while, I was shopping happily and soon we got to leave to get our luggages. The moment I see my luggage, I was SHOCKED! The luggage popped open and I got to squeeze back my things into the luggage. Went to the Baggage Claim and the servicer told me to wait at home for the repairmen. Somehow I managed to close the luggage and left the airport sadly. Sigh! -_-

Saw JianXing and Ryan when I exit from the departure door and they were here to fetch Winson. LOL :P I waited till Howe arrived and then cabbed home myself. Hahaha. XD

Reached my house and my mum was waiting for me at downstairs. The moment my cab stop she came to me and helped me to get my luggage. MY MUM IS THE BEST! ^^

P/S: Okay, I know you guys have the heart to fetch me. However, it's getting late and also not convenient for you guys to go home. Maybe next time then ask you to fetch me? ^^

Day 41 (Part 1)

Going to leave!!! Oh man... I hate departure, always make me feel down. :( Anyway, XiangYu is helping us to weigh all our luggage so as to take note whose luggage is overweight. :P

Day 40

Last opportunity to go shopping! Actually 80% of my goods are for my friends, colleagues and family. LOL :P Anyway, went to 'Han Zhen Jie' with Clive, Benedict and Clive since they are also heading for last shopping. Hehehe. :P At the same time, I'm a temporary money changer to them since my exchanging rate is so good! S$1 for 4.50 RMB! Best bargain you know? LOL :P Actually it's because they want to go shopping yet not enough money to spend. Hahaha. Another reason is because I'm left with about 1000 RMB because I didn't do much buying for the past few weeks. :)

Last day to take the public transport in WuHan...

We chose a shopping centre and decided to spend as much as we can. The 'Three Musketeers' are encouraging me to spend all my money since I have TOO MUCH left. I did spend but not all of course. LOL :P OH! I got something to say! CLIVE, YOU ROCKS IN BARGAINING! HAHAHA =P

Went back to the hostel and go to 'Ni Nan' for the last dinner in WuHan...

I went off alone after the dinner as I got many stuffs to settle. Firstly, is to being back pastries from a bakery stall because I find their pastries not bad. Next is to visit my local friends at their hostel and lastly is to buy green bean paste for all MDE people. When everything are done, I start to pack my luggage and by the time I'm totally done, it's already going 3am. I went to Hajar's room for a chat then went back at 5am to sleep. Hahaha. XD

Day 39

Around 10am, April came to my room and gave me this pair of earrings because she thought I'm leaving today. Hahaha. I'm actually quite surprised to receive a gift from her because we only knew for less than a week yet we clicked within an hour! Really going to miss ALL my local friends and hoping they will be coming to Singapore so that I can bring them around and show my hospitality. LOL :P

For tonight, there'll be an interaction with the student union members as to thank them for their hospitality. Seok, MeiYun, XiangYu and I went to the backstreet and prepared the food and some neccessities for the event. Got back and somehow got XiangYu to wear the jumper that MeiYun bought. Hahaha. XD

I can sense the excitement for the night! :P

OH! We've celebrated Rocco's birthday since it falls on the same day. Hehehe. :P

Day 37

08 April 2009, Wednesday

Went to visit Howe and Winson groups presentation but reached too late. Anyway, got to take a few pictures before Howe leave WuHan for her BeiJing trip with family. Hahaha. XD

Can't bear to let her go...

Mr Wong, Seok and XiangYu went to send Howe off to the airport since the cab can't squeeze too many people. When they got back, I went to have dinner with XiangYu, Seok, MeiYun and MengZhen at 'Ni Nan'.

After the dinner we got back to the hostel to attend the english interaction with the local students. They prepared some performances and the first show is dance!

Lastly, is a stunt performed by a student. This is really tough, I tried before.

I got assigned to the other room to interact with the local students and this let me knew a few new local friends! A pity is that we knew each other too late because I'm leaving WuHan soon. :( Anyway, starting from the left is YaoHua,Midi, Fran (ME!) and April!

April invited me to her dormitory and I followed them to their hostel. It's my first time to enter the hostel that is outside of the University. Their hostel is very near the food lane and I didn't notice it all along. -_- Around 11pm, the girls sent me back to my hostel and on the way, they treated me a drink. Glad to know them and looking forward to meet them again...

Day 36 (Part 2)

After the lunch we have more activities! Firstly, it's like a game I've played when my mum opened a celebration for my birthday at the Macdonald when I'm young. Hahaha. XD

End of the day! However, this is not the end of the whole trip. I find that we all should mixed together more often but it's impossible since we got into different university. :( Anyway, in this adventure camp, I find that my group has done well and everyone has put in individual effort for all the games. This is what I call teamwork! LOL :P

Day 36 (Part 1)

An outing that is informed last week by Mr Wong and I DO NOT REGRET coming for this adventure camp. I still find it too short as the activities got to be done within a day. :( I went to OBS 6-days camp when I'm in Secondary and this trip reminded me of that! :P

Firstly, we alighted at 'Wu Han Ke Ji Da Xue Zhong Nan Fen Xiao' (武汉科技大学中南分校) which is also the place where ECE studying at.

We walked to the training centre which is only about 100m away from the University and got grouped into different teams (a mixture of different divisions). This is my group discussing of what cheers and group name we should have.

A sumptuous breakfast!

We got to leave the hotel unwillingly because it is too COMFORTABLE! *ignoring the insect part* Hahaha. :)

While my friends are walking around the infantry, I was resting on the steps at the doorstep and soon I dozed off. When I woke up, I found all the MDE people have left and I thought I was left behind but luckily I saw Clive and Randolph taking pictures. Hahaha. Walking near them, I saw LSCT people still waiting for the bus that is going to ride us down the mountain as we got the last destination to go. Actually, when I found myself alone at the doorstep, I got frightened. Seriously, I thought I need to walk all the way down as my handphone has died on me and I have no way to contact my friends. If the LSCT left, I think I'll be all alone. This has taught me to be less careful when I'm outside and always stay close with my friends, even though they left without me. Hahaha. XD

Day 34 (Part 4)

After being rushed for the night activity, many of us just gobble whatever they can eat and left the restaurant. By the time we reach the venue, the event has already started so we just joined into the fun! :P I love the dancing session the most for the whole event. Hahaha. XD

Anyway, there are also stunts performed by the stuntman and it is really exciting to watch them stepping on the blades, jumping onto the shattered glass and walking on the red hot charcoal! ALL DONE BAREFOOTED!

This is the least dangerous stunt. Actually can't say it's a stunt, I should say talent! This guy uses a leaf and produced sounds like flute!

After the performance, it's singing session! We had much fun in this. I really got to say, Singaporean LOVE to sing. LOL :P

Day 34 (Part 3)

After visiting 'Lu Lin', we went back to hotel and the tour guide brought us to a village. Just a short walking distance from the hotel BUT we got to cross the bridge. -_-

Actually I'm not afraid of crossing bridge, regardless of the height since I'm not really afraid of height. However, the bridge is giving me the insecurity that it is going to break soon which really worries me alot when I'm crossing it.

There I go watching my steps.

Got into another ride of trauma and reached 'Lu Lin'.

At first we all thought we are going to take a ride on this raft but we were wrong. :(

Day 34 (Part 1)

P/S: Sorry about the delay of the posts because I have been busy with my OIP matters and personal stuffs. However, I will resume my blogging and try my best to finish up all the posts as soon as possible. I demand for a good quality in blogging thus I don't wish to rush myself with many pictures and indescriptive wordings. This is not my way of blogging at all. Thank you for your understanding. I shall start from Day 34 onwards... ENJOY my videos and pictures! :P

Thanks HuiMiang for the soya bean drink! ^^

Felt energetic after drinking the warm drink and sat comfortably in the bus. Having a full stomach makes me feel wonderful and happy! However, the bus driver has turned the trip miserable for me. The way he drive is definitely out of my expectation and his skill in overtaking other moving vehicles is marvellous! The speeding and the twist and turns had caused my stomach to turn upside down. Soon, my motion sickness has found me and made me feel uncomfortable all the way till having lunch. The moment I smelt food I feel like vomitting! Reached 'Lu Lin Shan Zhuang' (绿林山庄) and miracally I can eat! LOL :P

After lunch, we took bus up the slope and just within 1min we've reached the hotel. Actually the walking distance only takes 5min. -_-

Went out for a walk with CiMin, MengZhen, MeiYun and Winson before the 'Lu Lin' trip. The place I'm at is just about 100m away from the hotel.

Today I woke up around 6pm which is really shocking to me. Maybe it's because I slept around 6am and make it tough for me to wake up at 9am. Suppose to meet up with my friends to go 'Han Zhen Jie' but I just couldn't force myself to get out of the bed. Sigh! -_- Missed a lot of shoppings and fun. One week later I'll be leaving WuHan yet there are so many stuffs not done. Sob! :'( Shall get back my working motion for my last Assignment 3 because there won't be much time left for my group to do after the trip from LuLing resort and so on. I will post more about my upcoming events after the trips. :P Anyway, shall post something abut yesterday which again shows my laziness to wake up. -_-

03/04/2009, Friday

Suppose to wake up at 8am for a jog with MengZhen they all but... Okay! I'm lazy to wake up that's why. -_- This is also why I can't keep fit and healthy. Anyway, the main point is actually today's dinner at Mr Loh's place!

Went to Walmart to shop for the ingredients with Seok, MeiYun, XiangYu and Howe. Reach there at around 12pm to have lunch at Macdonald then play arcade! At last I have my Double Cheeseburger today. I always order the wrong one which makes me quite unhappy. Anyway, today is a fun day for me! Firstly, is having my Double Cheeseburger. Secondly, is to play my favourite game at the arcade which are the basketball machine and Daytona 2! :P Thirdly, is shopping at the Walmart and the other shops. Lastly, is definitely at Mr Loh's place. Hahaha. XD

Allow me to continue the story for the shopping at the Walmart. :P

Howe, XiangYu and Seok went off first as they were cabbing to Mr Loh's place with the ingredients. MeiYun and I continue to walk around the Walmart then shopping at the other shops. :P

After shopping, we went back to hostel to put down our things then proceeds to Mr Loh's place and reach at 5pm plus. We got lost on the way but in the end we managed to find our way there and went up together with Winson and HuiMiang. :P Settled down at Mr Loh's place and I start to help out in cutting the garlics, mushrooms and chicken with Howe.

The following pictures are taken by Winson while I'm chopping the ingredients. Mr Wong is cooking the curry chicken (taste the best among all dishes) and I'm his assistant! :P

Back to hostel after a walk to the backstreet food lane then I headed to Hajar's room. It's like so crowded for today? LOL :P Got quite a few came and go but the constant ones are PeiJie, Clive and I. Hahaha. We had much fun doing 'so many' things. Well, can't disclose the details if not I'll definitely be killed. ^^

After finishing the Assignment 2 I went to bed and the time is going to 5am. -_- Woke up at 1pm to buy lunch at the backstreet food lane with CiMin, Winson and HuiMiang. My lunch is two sticks of barbequed mutton and a small cup of warm soy bean drink. Headed back to hostel to do some touch up on the powerpoint slides and report.

At 3pm, MeiYun, CiMin, HuiMiang and I went to the classroom together. HuiMiang's group is the first group to present...

Second group is Winson's group...

Sorry to disappoint Mr Wong with my group presentation. I will definitely pull myself together and get ready for the last assignment. ^^

By 6pm we ended our presentation and I went for dinner with MeiYun, Seok and XiangYu at the backstreet food lane. This claypot beef noodle is nice! I like!!! :P

After dinner, I went to buy a lot of snacks for my SUPPER! I bought seven pastries, three bananas, three fried food and one muffin-shaped cake. LOL :P Well, actually these amount is considered little. Hahaha. In Singapore, my supper is way more sumptuous. Got sushi and sashimi, stir-fry carrot cake, roti prata, chicken rice, satay or Haagen-Dazs ice cream (hoping my family leave some for me)! XP

Actually, I got a little used to the food here already. Hahaha. Now I know how to eat oily food (don't eat till the bottom!) and love the food stalls that are so near to my hostel! If the weather turn warmer I will definitely love staying here. :P Actually what attracts me the most is the price of the food. LOL :P Alright, shall stop here. Bye~~~

Just finished my part for Assignment 2 and later on shall continue with the compiling. After compiling is SLEEPING TIME! :P Well, already going to 2am so I guess the earliest I can sleep is 4am or 5am? Anyway, I don't feel tired either because I have my snacks to support me. =P For the time being, I shall post about yesterday tour at the new campus which is actually the newly-built WuHan University of Science and Technology.

OH! Before I forget, regarding the videos, I can only upload less than 200M to Youku so I can't upload most of my videos. Maybe when I get back to Singapore I shall upload them to Youtube. To the people in China, I'm sorry but no choice that you can't have the chance to view my videos until the Youtube is not ban in your country. ^^

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY HUIMIANG! :P

Tomorrow have a visit to a campus which I don't know the name yet and also Test 2! So I will not say much and you got to view the pictures to enjoy what I'm going to share later. ^^ Due to a blockage of YouTube in China, thus most of my videos couldn't be watch but I'll try to upload to Youku as soon as possible. However, you got to endure the slow buffering in Youku. (better than nothing right? :P)

From Monday night, we have been preparing for a BIG surprise for our birthday girl, HuiMiang. Collected the cake and hide it inside my room while Winson is doing his job distracting HuiMiang's attention by cooping her in his room and watch online movie. Clive, Benedict, Randolph, Howe, Seok and MengZhen came to my room at around 11.30pm.

The 'Three Musketeers' are inside my toilet and taking picture!

MeiYun went up to Winson's room to ask them to come to my room and 'catch spider' while CiMin and MengZhen are preparing the cake.

By 6.30pm, it's dinner time and we have stop doing our assignment. Seriously, my brain juice is depleted. -_-

Went to the usual restaurant for dinner and treated HuiMiang for the meal! Today she is the queen and we shall obey whatever she says. One hour plus later she shall be banished and return to her civilian position. Wahaha! XD People who went were Howe, Winson, Seok, Benedict, Clive, Randolph, CiMin, MengZhen, XiangYu and I. (no need for me to mention, you should know HuiMiang is there right? ^^)

Day 28 (Part 2)

Had Flexsim re-test with CiMin and MeiYun at 10am then continue for BPE lesson at 11am. XiangYu also came but he is not for the re-test of course. ^^

I'm done with my Flexsim test in less than an hour time and so I start to play with my camera. :P

I wonder what they are chatting about...?

Submitted my hardcopy and softcopy (inside Mr Wong' thumbdrive).

Mr Loh popped up and gave money to XiangYu. From here, I infer that both Mr Wong and Mr Loh actions should have something to do with this coming Friday's home-cooked food gathering at Mr Loh's place! Wahaha. XD

After BPE lesson, I went to have lunch with my 'gang', HuiMiang and XiangYu at Canteen 2. My lunch is slightly more plain because I don't feel like having too oily food. Sigh! -_- Nose bleed this morning again and that's why I got to cut down on fried food. Sob! :'( Actually I prefered plain food and this stall is not bad for their dishes. Next time I know what I can have for my lunch! :P

After our lunch, people dispersed and went to do their group assignments. MengZhen, CiMin, MeiYun and I went for a walk at the backstreet to see what we can shop. Day 28 (Part 1)

Just finished revising my Flexsim because 'later' I got re-test at 10am. Going to 2am yet I'm still not yet ready to sleep. Sigh! -_- Actually I'm regretting for not preparing well for the Flexsim test because I thought I can at least get a pass. But this time, it proves me wrong and I do think it's time to get rid of my 'just pass' attitude. Anyway, one hilarious thing is that there are only three failures, include me, and guess who they are. Hahaha XD They are my room-mates! So coincident! LOL :P So three of us were revising together with the help of Winson, Seok and Clive. Thankfully, with their help we managed to have a better understanding and I doubt we will fail again. ^^ Okay, a short saying about my 'yesterday'...

Slept around 4am and woke up at 2pm as MengZhen was asking me to go out to see some electronic stuffs which is an approximate of 45min ride from our University. Meet up with Hajar, Masita, Clive, Randolph, MengZhen, HuiMiang and CiMin outside my room then took Bus 702 there.

Decided to have lunch first at the 'fake KFC' before shopping at the electronic building (really like a electronic fair) because some of us were very hungry. Just to mention that Team C really united, always have the opportunity to take group picture at ANYWHERE! LOL :P

After lunch we went to a building that sells electronic stuffs (not the one we went earlier on) and we all got what we wanted. Planned to shop the electronic building we went earlier on but it's closed. -_- So we decided to go back to the hostel. On our way, Clive helped his handphone to 'make-up'! LOL :P Actually he went to make a protector for his handphone so that won't get scratches on the screen. Result is not bad and I'm tempted to make one IF my handphone is well-protected by me ten months ago. :P

Waiting for Bus 702 which in the end is stopping at another bus stop so we got to RUN and CHASE after it before it drives off. -_-

Got back to hostel and played badminton with MengZhen, HuiMiang and CiMin. At last, after about one month, I get to play sports!!! Well, I do wish to play volleyball if there is one here. :( Anyway, I'm still happy to have the chance to play sports here because it do warms me up. So many sports (volleyball, badminton, jogging, soccer, basketball) that I wish to do here but no chance to. :( One week and six days more to go before I really have to return back to Singapore. Suddenly I feel like staying here longer because I love staying with my friends! LOL :P

Gathered at 8.45am to go 'Bu Xing Jie' (步行街) for a City Tour. Spent time shopping and planned to have a walk at a famous park I heard but due to the cold weather it's canceled. Seriously, it's freezing cold and no one can take the weather to have a walk at the park even they have the mood to. :(

Alighted from the bus and going to 'Bu Xing Jie'. The weather condition is drizzles with cold breeze which is an ultimate combination to cause a person to shiver like nobody's business. On our way, Mr Loh, Mr Wong, Hajar, Masita, Clive and I went into a fast food restaurant to have a 'warm' breakfast. :P

You got to order at the counter then return to your seats. For my table, we got special privilege! :P A staff came to ask us have a seat first and she help us to take the order. Wahaha. XD Anyway, can see the back view of Mr Wong? He is camera shy! :P

My breakfast is here! XD Well, I like the hot soy bean drink because it warms my whole body. The fried doughstick wrapped with a omellete taste good to me too! :P

Mr Loh is enjoying his fried doughstick and porridge! XD

After our meal, we felt warmer because of the food inside our stomach. Hehehe. :P Past by this statue and Mr Loh told us it's a symbol of saying this whole street is 'Bu Xing Jie' which means only for people and NO vehicles allowed. ^^

Went to buy an umbrella at a supermarket because the rain is getting heavier. So each of us have an umbrella now and we can proceed to shopping! Walked in and out of the shopping malls and lastly settled down at Metersbonwe. I spent around 500RMB in Metersbonwe and so, I shall start to learn how to save money and stop myself from buying unneccessary stuffs. Two more weeks to go and I still have SO MUCH to buy for friends and colleagues. :( Randolph, Winson, CiMin, MengZhen and HuiMiang came to Metersbonwe too and we had lunch with them at a fast food restaurant, Dico's, at around 1pm.

MeiYun and I shared a combo meal. While waiting for our food to come, it's time to take more pictures! XD

Around 2.30pm, we walked back to the meeting place and wait for the bus to come and fetch us back to the hostel. Although half an hour seem short, under the cold breeze it is definitely unbearable for even one minute!

At last the bus has came and we happily boarded the bus and enjoy the warmth. After a short speech by 'Qing Ge', saying about how much he'll missed us and so on, we are driving off.

A pair of potential couple-to-be (or maybe they were together already? :P) tour guides. Heehee. XD

27 March 2009, Friday

I felt really bad today because I've missed an industrial trip to view fibre optics. :( I rested till around 12pm and MengZhen called me to ask me if I'm alright to join them for KTV because this was planned long ago. I find myself feeling better and so I've agreed.

Around 1pm, I left my hostel and headed towards the bus stop which is located right outside the University. This is my first time taking bus alone in WuHan and it is quite worrying because I'm afraid of alighting at the wrong stop. I got onto the bus 702 and paid 2RMB for the bus fare. Listened to my handphone songs and keep looking outside the window to make sure that I can view where I'm going. On my bus journey, I saw a mister giving up his seat to an elderly and this action warms my heart. All the while I only see people in WuHan cutting queue like nobody's business. After having more contacts with them, I start to realise they do have a kind heart. Hahaha. XD

By 1.30pm, I've reached the place and thankfully I recognised the stop to alight! :P Went to Macdonald to meet MengZhen, CiMin, Winson, HuiMiang, Randolph, Clive, Hajar and Masita. Around 2pm, we got to the KTV and sang for three hours which cost us 76RMB only. Super cheap! XD

After the KTV, we went for a walk around the shopping centre. Masita, Hajar, Clive and Randolph left first because they were hungry for dinner. The rest of us continue walking around the WHOLE shopping centre and left for dinner at around 8pm. We wanted to eat at a food centre opposite the shopping mall but it was closing so we decided to take bus 702 back to school first. Due to the cold wind and drizzles, we were all shivering the moment we alighted from the bus. In the end we decided to eat stir-fried rice at the backstreet food lane. Got back to hostel and enjoy the warmth. Hahaha. XD

Had BPE lecture in the morning and Mr Wong ended all chapters! This means today is the last quiz to do but still got test two so quite sad. After the lesson end it's already around 1pm, thus my friends and I decided to have lunch outside and not at the canteen as the stalls have lesser food to sell. Winson, CiMin, MengZhen, MeiYun, HuiMiang and I went to the 'fake KFC' to have lunch. As usual, my meal is the 15RMB one because I'm loving it! Maybe next time I can try the whole chicken meal because it looks nice too! :P

At last, a local guy helped us to open the door and we prepare for the presentation once we get in.

The local students are punctual and they reach by 4pm but due to raining, a number of local students came in late.

Day 23

Today have Flexsim practical test (10am-11am) and it is a disaster for me. :( Got another group of students having the practical test (11am-12pm) after me because they got to borrow laptops from us due to some error from their Flexsim program.

After the test, I went to take-away food from backstreet food lane with MeiYun, MengZhen, Winson and CiMin. Went back to school and MengZhen suggested to eat on the bench near the badminton courts. Due to many insects flying around and disturb us, we decided to have our meal in my room. LOL :P

Went for BPE lecture with HuiMiang, CiMin, MeiYun, MengZhen and Winson. A change of classroom makes me delighted because it is so NEAR to the lift but so FAR from the ladies. Anyway, it is good to have a classroom near the exit because can reduce the time of getting late. :P

XiangYu had his new haircut in WuHan! :)

Mr Wong is entertaining with his 'cold jokes' and 'visual' jokes before the lesson starts. Again, it is quiz time after the teaching for Chapter 8.

After the lesson we had a short meeting for tomorrow's event and a quick rehearsal on our performance which shall be performed during the exchange with the local students. Hope that they will like it! :)

Skipped dinner with MeiYun but later on I might be getting supper! =P Well, actually that's all for today. Hahaha. XD Oh! Haven't show you who are my room mates.

This is CiMin, I think she is watching her Korean drama (main purpose is to see Kim-Hyung-Jun) again.

MeiYun woked up from her nap and start to 'hop' around the blog world. Somehow she managed to find something astonishing and showed CiMin and I. We were shocked! Okay, too bad I can't show you because I have to get the permission from 'someone'. Hahaha. XD

Day 22 (Part 2)

Had dinner with Mr Wong, XiangYu, MengZhen, CiMin, MeiYun, HuiMiang and Seok at 'Qin Feng Jiu Dian' 秦风酒店. Total cost is about 150RMB so quite cheap I guess.

OH! This restaurant do charge for refilling rice bowl but other places, so far still free-of-charge. Hahaha. XD Anyway, we ordered six dishes. :P

After the dinner, MengZhen, CiMin and HuiMiang went back to hostel while the rest of us had desserts at 'A Tu Gui Ling Gao' (阿土龟苓膏)

A brief introduction of the 'Gui Ling Gao'.

Mr Wong, Seok and MeiYun had 'Gui Ling Gao' with red bean paste.

This is my 'Shuang Pi Nai' (双皮奶) which is a mixture of egg white with milk! Yummy~~~ If have more milk will be tastier for me. :P

Left the shop and bought banana with Seok and MeiYun. Mr Wong got himself two sticks of barbequed mutton and gave one to us to share. Very spicy!!! Mr Wong finished his stick while the rest push the stick to me. I thought I can take it but I CAN'T. Returned to hostel with Mr Wong as the rest went other places. Put down my stuffs and continued to eat the mutton. Really too spicy and so I pushed to CLIVE! Hahaha. XD I went to the 'three musketeers' room and want to get some files from Clive but I can tell he is hungry so happily passed the stick to him and he FINISHED IT! Then he know the effect and have the same 'spicy condition' as me. LOL :P While waiting to get my files, some chaotic events happened. Went back to my room and wait for my food to digest. :)

That's all and I got to practice for tomorrow's practical test. Goodbye! :P

Day 22 (Part 1)

Had lunch at Canteen 2 with Howe, XiangYu, HuiMiang, MengZhen, MeiYun, CiMin, Seok and Winson. It is BPE practical for today and lesson ends around 3pm because the local students need to use our room! Hahaha. After the lesson, MeiYun, Clive, Winson, Benedict, Randolph, HuiMiang, MengZhen, CiMin and I went to have a walk around the backstreet food lane. Some of them get food to eat while the others had drinks. Clive and Randolph decided to play pool and the pool session is definitely cheaper than Singapore! In Singapore, one hour already $5 to $7. In China, it is just 4RMB for one hour which is like less than S$1. The pool table, pool sticks and pool balls also don't lose to Singapore. Maybe this place have a higher standard and I did see other pool shops which have good pool stuffs too. I wonder if got bowling here. Hahaha. XD That's all for the time being, maybe I'll update later on the next post. :P

Went back to my room after the Quiz 7 and start to blog. Skipped my dinner because it is really cold outside and the food is really very oily and salty. Sigh! -_-

I truly miss Singapore. Maybe I'm too used to the lifestyle in Singapore? At least I don't need to suffer from shivering due to cold weather and the food is more healthy! Missing my family and friends who are waiting for me to return back to Singapore. However, I do adore my new friends whom I have befriended during this trip. Hahaha. When I get back to Singapore, I will definitely share with my family and friends of the China's history and culture for sure. An additional bonus is the number of new friends I've befriended with during this trip. Best is can stay contact with each other even when we get back to Singapore. Hahaha. XD

Day 21 (Part 1)

No morning lesson but have BPE lecture in the afternoon. Had lunch at Canteen 2 with Seok, Howe, HuiMiang, MengZhen, Seok, Winson and XiangYu. Saw Mr Wong so asked him to join our table. Head to classroom straight after lunch. More details I shall continue on the next post because I want to finish blogging about the 'Wu Dang' tour. :P

From the previous post, I've mentioned about the first day of the 'Wu Dang' tour. Let me share more about my 'hardship' for the second day of the 'Wu Dang' tour.

Checked out from the hotel and many of us couldn't bear to leave the place because it is TOO COMFORTABLE. Too bad that we can't stay there for long and got to leave for breakfast at the same restaurant as yesterday.

After the breakfast, we went to take our bus and alighted at the same spot as yesterday afternoon! :P

Gathered at the place where we got to start our journey to the top of Mt. 'Wu Dang'! The time is around 8am plus when we started. ^^

Took a few pictures at the beginning because later on have no more energy or mood to take pictures due to exhaustion. ^^

'Gu Shen Dao Da Xiu Ji' (古神道大修记)!

This is the 'human transportation' (轿子) which is carried by two man with someone sitting on the seat. I do think the workers are very tiring because they got to carry the passenger up and down the stairs (regardless of their weight) constantly.
After climbing for about 20 minutes I found a shelter to rest!

This is the head of the tour guides! He asked us to call him 'Qing Ge' which sounds like love song in Chinese. LOL :P

Here we are at the 'Jin Dian' (金殿)! I took almost three hours to reach! LOL :P

As you can see there are many people throwing 'something' up to the rooftop of 'Jin Dian'. They are actually throwing coins for good luck! You can find a lot of coins (money!!!) on the ground and it is quite tempting to pick it up. Can be rich by collecting all those coin you know? Okay, just kidding. Hahaha. :P Anyway, Clive and I saw the others at the back of the 'Jin Dian'. They also quite into throwing the coins for luck! I did too but it bounced and fell into the building. LOL :P

Nice to be at the top of the mountain! XD

Saw many locks and didn't know it have its purpose which is to bring fortune. I guess couple can lock one there to have a longlasting relationship? LOL :P

Actually we were both freezing in the cable car because the cold wind is entering our cable car! Plus I also had an exciting way of 'hopping' into the cable car. Super fun! XD

About 25 minutes ride, we've reached the station and 'hopped' out of the cable car. I think the most exciting part in this ride is when I 'hop' in and out of the cable car. Hahaha. XD

Had lunch at a restaurant near the cable car station. XiangYu helped my table to fill the bowl with rice. Can tell which bowl of rice belongs to MeiYun and which bowl belongs to Winson? :P

After lunch we board on the tour bus and left the 'Wu Dang' place. Got onto our own bus and took a five hours ride back to our hostel.

21/03/2009, Saturday

Gathered outside my room and meet at the front gate at 7am. By 12pm plus we reached 'Tai He Xuan Wu Da Jiu Dian' (太和玄武大酒店) for lunch.

Reach 'Wu Dang Jin Jie' (武当金街) at around 2pm and start our tour at 'Wu Dang Shan'.

Went for a walk with MengZhen, MeiYun, HuiMiang, CiMin, Winson, XiangYu, Clive, Benedict and Randolph to search for our supper! At first we planned to have supper at Clive's room, who is staying together with Benedict at room 3212, but something occured and changed the plan to having supper in my room. Watch the television programme (it has been ages since I have watched something on TV!!!) and enjoyed our cup noodles. However, Randolph, Benedict, XiangYu and Clive didn't turn up but the rest of us still continue with our supper! :P

MengZhen turned in while I stay up for a little longer because of my bloated stomach. -_- Slept around 1am and almost couldn't wake up on the next morning.

Day 18

Today is a combination of sadness and happiness.

BPE test paper (9am-11am) is tough! I didn't have a easy time doing it at all. I find the questions really tricky and I am unsure if I have input the correct answers. -_- Anyway, at least I am done with my papers within two hours and I went back to hostel straight away. Checked my exam result and totally stunned me. I didn't expect the GPA to drop so much and I really got depressed after knowing it. Went to have lunch with Winson, MengZhen, HuiMiang, CiMin, MeiYun and Seok at Canteen 2. Saw Clive, Randolph, Benedict and XiangYu having lunch at Canteen 2 too. After lunch is shopping time! Clive, Randolph and Benedict followed along with us to 'Han Zheng Jie' (汉正街).

This is the first time we are taking bus without the local friends. Well, we are learning to be independent! :P

Reach 'Han Zheng Jie Pin Pai Fu Shi Pi Fa Dian' (汉正街品牌服饰批发店). According to Sally, it's a building and not a street. ^^ Anyway, this building don't suit us so we moved on to other places where our real 'hunting' begins. :P

Clive, Randolph, Benedict cab back to hostel to attend a local student's birthday while the rest of us continue our shopping! Around 8pm we went to have our dinner at the REAL KFC! Hahaha. XP At last we get to try the genuine KFC but I find the 'fake KFC' to be better and it is cheaper! Budget you know. :P

Took Bus502 back together but alighted at different stops. MengZhen, CiMin, Winson, HuiMiang and I wanted to check something, thus Seok and MeiYun went back to hostel first. ^^ I followed Winson they all to KTV (checking the price) near the hostel's Macdonald then to a stationery shop which I can find almost anything! LOL :P Should past by that store earlier. =P Reach back to my hostel and found myself with so many goodies. Currently I am not bothered by my poor exam result anymore! My conclusion is that 'shopping is a good way to keep a person delighted'! Hahaha. =P Anyway, regarding yesterday that I didn't post after my supper is because I wish to rest early for today's test paper. So later I will definitely post it and share with you about some interesting factors about China's business etiquette. ^^

Tomorrow have a two days one night tour at 'Wu Dang Shan' (武当山) and other places. Shall share more about this trip when I get back from the tour. I guess will have load of pictures to show AGAIN. Hahaha. XD Well, shall have another sleepless night since tomorrow can sleep on bus. Heehee. :P

Day 17

BPE lecture is cancelled by Mr Wong and so we only have OIE lesson in the afternoon. I skipped my breakfast and lunch to sleep more. :P Today is actually the last day for OIE lesson and I am grateful to Sally's teaching because she taught me a lot about China's history which I always keen to know. She also gave us notes about the China's history which is really informative. Thank you Sally! ^^

Some of us want to get some supper at the food street and so we continue our walk there then back to hostel again.

DAY 16

Today have presentation at 10am and it's related to understanding of tools and techniques. My group members are MeiYun and CiMin (grouped according to room-mates) and we are the fifth to present.

Howe, Seok and MengZhen are the second group to present.

Lastly is OIE lecture (1pm-4pm). Clive, Benedict and I went to the classroom first. As usual, I went back to my room after the lesson and a disaster occured. No internet connection! Everyone have no connection so Mr Wong helped us to solve this problem. ^^ Went to have dinner with MengZhen, HuiMiang and CiMin at 6.30pm. I guess today is the day for me to rest early. Everyday sleeping late is definitely killing me! Especially you got to wake up early. :(

Before I go, let me share my reflection for the past sixteen days in WuHan. ^^

It is my first time to WuHan and also my first encounter for this cold weather. I went to BeiJing once when I'm in Secondary 2 for exchanging programme but everything is planned well by the organistion. OIP is more like getting me prepared to enter the society because I got to learn to be independent in an unfamiliar place and get along with my OIP mates as well as some local students. So far I'm doing well in making friends with both local students and OIP mates, but I feel that there should be some activities to gather us together then we can learn more about each other.

My main enemy is actually the cold weather and the dirty air in WuHan because it get me sick easily. However, I'll do as much as I can to keep myself healthy and don't miss out any events due to illness. XD

Today all the OIP students are going to have an industrial sightseeing of how a steel is made. We gathered at front gate at 8am and proceeds to the WuGang factory. The journey took about half an hour to reach as the bus driver is lost along the way.

Due to the regulation, we are not allowed to take pictures inside the factory. Sigh! -_- It's quite interesting to watch how a steel is made. Unfortunately, I've only viewed the rough milling and finished milling. I guess there isn't enough time for us to view the whole process?

I estimate that we took 30 minute to view the rough milling and finished milling. Now taking pictures with my team members! (outside of the factory we can take as many pictures as we want to :P)

Back to our bus and we are on our way back to hostel! Look at Winson and HuiMiang happy faces. :P

Reach school at about 10am and went to have early lunch with my 'gang' at the food street behind my hostel. We settled down at a wanton noodle shop. Additional food for me shall be soy bean drink and fried doughstick! Heehee :P

Got back to my room and start using my laptop to pass my time because it's only around 12pm and my BPE lecture is at 1pm. (I thought no school for today -_-) When I got to the classroom, I took a short nap before the lecture starts. After quiz six ended we are free to go!

Currently inside my room using my laptop AGAIN. Trying to finish up my group project because tomorrow is the submission date and presentation too. -_- Shall stop here and end my project work as soon as possible if not I got to skip my dinner. :P Bye~~~
