Really apologise for this late update as it's really tough for me to handle two blogs (this WuHan blog and my own blog). So lets waste no time as it shall be a long post.

Today is my first briefing for Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP). The lecturers brief us about the facilities of the WuHan University and some main points we got to take note such as the minimum amount of money we have to bring. We also get to know the living lifestyle through videos presented by the previous batch.

Today I went to NP Finance Department as there is some mistake in OIP fee. I should be paying $320 but then the machine seem to EAT my money and deduct twice. Luckily a lady called me to ask me to bring my passbook to get my refund.

Briefing for today is to let us know what are the updates for WuHan weather and precautions need to be taken when we are over there like take good care of our own belongings. Submitted my passport and complete some forms for the Visa.

Today I went to Tiong Bahru's Challenger to buy my thumbdrive and camera for the WuHan trip. Thumbdrive is needed to save my douments and camera is to take good quality pictures for this blog! This is the first time I buy camera because I have been using to take pictures with my handphone camera which I'm told that the quality won't be as good as a camera. So for the sake of letting you to take a closer and clearer look of the beauty of the WuHan, I've decided to buy a camera. Actually, the camera is for my own purpose as well. Heehee. :P I got a pink CANON which some of my friends think the colour a little 'gay' but I like. The most important thing is that I got a good camera right? Good camera give good pictures and so the appearance a little 'gay' is fine. XD

When I reach home, I went to dig out my universal plugs which I'm not really confirm can be used as I never use one before.
I going to bring two kinds of pin-plugs. One is straight 2 pin-plug and another is rounded 2 pin-plug.
I know I'm a little 'kiasu' but I don't care. Better to prepare more than to regret later right? ^^ I know you agree with my saying. Thanks for agreeing. Hahaha. XD

An urgent meeting to re-fill our Visa due to some error in our application forms. I didn't know it is so strict to follow the order of the form and so, I estimate 99% of the students who are going to WuHan got to return to fill up a new form.

Went to Cal2 with JianXing (unfortunately he is not selected for the OIP) and Winson to repair our laptops. My laptop really need a reformat as it lags like nobody's business. After reformat and some installation for the programmes my laptop is as good as new! When I reach home I met some problems with the installation for MSN so I got my buddy, WenChuan, to help me solve this IT problem. I'm really dumb when I'm facing this IT thing. Actually, I'm quite dumb towards everything so please pardon me if I ask a lot of questions. I remember a lecturer saying, 'there's no stupid questions'. After he said that, I got more couraged to ask more questions. Hahaha. XD Well, some of my friends really got annoyed by my questions though. :(

Today I'm super high as it is my last exam paper and I'm going to buy my luggage (at last!). Before searching for my luggage, I went to The Central to have dinner with my mum at Manhattan Fishmarket. I think it's really my turn to treat her a good meal after paying so much effort (and MONEY) for my WuHan trip. We walked to People's Park Centre and starting searching for my luggage. After a long period of time comparing prices and quality of the luggages, my mum and I have decided to buy a luggage at a shop for just $130. It is a 28" black Eminent and so we do think it is quite worth it at this price.

This is the last briefing for OIP and the lecturers need us to bring our laptops to install a program for our study I guess? The lecturers also update us about the weather and what to bring to WuHan (e.g. cothings, daily neccessities). From what I've known, the weather is really cold in WuHan now as the temperature is only 5°C. (WuHan weather latest update:
http://www.weathercity.com/cn/42/wuhan/) The duration of the trip will be from 3rd March to 12 April 2009. From the booklet I've gotten from this briefing, I got a subsidy of $1530! Really a big sum and I appreciate NP for this subsidy. ^^
This is the WuHan T-shirt we are going to wear as a whole team! At first the colour 'orange' has actually cause a minor commotion among the students as many think that it is a weird colour. Today we saw this shirt and it is fine with us. Hahaha. XD

When I reach home I went to dig out my cable lock which many of my J2 classmates keep reminding me to bring. Thanks alot! ^^ For the safety of your laptop, do bring it if not you will definitely cry when it is gone. (touchwood!)
